    Intermediate to Advanced Photoshop

Photoshop is more than a post-production tool to repair and enhance our photographs. It’s become an all-new visual medium unto itself – a blank canvas from which we create images beyond the boundaries of conventional photography.  As Photoshop artists, we draw not only on the traditions of photography, but from the traditions of painting, drawing, graphic design and sculpture.  This workshop will address some of the issues (both technical and mental) that we confront as we evolve from being photographers to becoming digital artists.

To paraphrase Ansel Adams: “Photographic images are our instruments - Photoshop is the performance”

What will be taught in the class?

How to establish clients for life, We  have clients that come from all over the world to receive our service. Once they use us they come back to Franklin and spend a day, weekend for us to photograph their families and children. We will share with you our 17-year secrets of photographing them each year as a baby and them as a senior.

      Sales:

    • How to sell to the client and receive great orders. How to sell 95% of the client’s frames. Orders ready to be hung on the wall.

      Expressions & Posing:

    • How to work in the camera room with children, families, and brides.
    • How to get the expression that is the true inter beauty of that person.
    • How to pose children, brides, and seniors. And families.

      Lighting:

    • How to work with strobes in the studio, on location and outdoors.
    • How to work with incandescent light (Hot Lights) on location as well as in the studio
    • How to mix strobes, incandescent and stain glass lighting to make that award winning images.
    • Learn how to meter your lighting to have the correct exposure and ratios. I don’t believe in fixing it in Photoshop; Get it right in the exposure.
    • How to work outside with reflectors. All natural lighting. No strobes use in our outdoor studio

      Outdoor / Studio:

    • How to build a garden, tips on how much to spend, how to cut cost and what to do to have an Award winning shooting area. What plants to plant and have flowers blooming from spring to winter. What plants to have to keep your garden looking good all year long.  You can still photograph outdoors as long as it not cold enough to have red noses, and have great backgrounds.
    • How to have a home studio and make it work.
